Thandisiwe had booked me for a friends session.
It was clear sunny morning in Port Shepstone. There had been a few days of rain and it was nice to see some sunshine. Due to the rain, there was a freshness in the air. There was a southerly breeze and the weatherman was predicting that there would be more rain later.
I met Thandisiwe and her friends at the Port Shepstone Beachfront. The sun was quite high and I knew the lighting conditions were going to be a challenge. I asked my assistant to bring out a scrim (material to diffuse the harsh sunlight). But due the breeze that was blowing, he was unable to hold it. I have the Elinchrom Ranger, a beast of light that can overpower the sun.
Loving the fun these ladies brought to the session
While setting up the light I was chatting to Thandi and her friends. I then heard that Thandisiwe is celebrating her 43rd birthday today. Some of the friends had not been out of the Eastern Cape and were visiting the South Coast for the first time. It was fantastic meeting this group of ladies. Thank you for letting me capture memories for you.
I loved their personalities
